What to Expect on Your First Visit
At Brant Arts Chiropractic we will take a comprehensive health history and perform a thorough orthopedic, neurologic and chiropractic examination and x-rays (if needed) to determine the underlying cause of your problem. Treatments can be performed on your initial visit should your condition allow and further diagnostic testing is not necessary.
On the second visit a full report of examination findings will be given along with a diagnosis. At that point a patient-centered treatment plan will be recommended for your specific needs and you will have your first chiropractic adjustment and/or treatment therapy. Should we determine that chiropractic may not help your diagnosed condition, we will refer you to someone who is best suited to treat you.
What is Chiropractic care and how may Chiropractic help you?
Chiropractic is a natural health care discipline that focuses on the relationship between structure (the spine) and function of the nervous system which coordinates all actions of the body. We will look for areas of spinal dysfunction and its effects on how your body moves and functions. Chiropractors use a hands-on manual approach to deliver treatment to improve mobility, relieve pain and improve overall function so you can get back to your normal activities.
faq
Chiropractic is a natural, non-invasive healthcare discipline that specializes in the treatment, assessment, diagnosis and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system (muscles, bones), and the effects of these disorders on the functions of the nervous system and general health. (World Federation of Chiropractic 2001)
Chiropractors use hands-on manual therapies to deliver treatments (adjustments) to improve joint mobility, relieve pain, and improve overall function.
This is a manipulation performed by a skilled Doctor of Chiropractic. The adjustment is a precise and gentle procedure generally done by hand and can be performed by an instrument. The adjustment improves joint mobility and alignment, reduces nerve pain and relieves muscle tension.
